This August, Shekinah + Thaddeus Young celebrated 10 years of marriage. To celebrate their decade-long anniversary they threw a New Orleans-inspired with the help of Bella Baxter.

The design was centered around an intimate, romantic evening in New Orleans and pulled inspiration from the Peacock Room, an eccentric restaurant in the heart of NOLA. Along with Bella Baxter, our team transformed the couple’s private basketball gym into a modern speakeasy.

We loved how Kathrine, of Bella Baxter, incorporated modern furniture, lush tropical plants, and organic floral arrangements to create the overall elegantly moody environment. A custom floral installation featuring the couple’s last name was paired with our pink Perth Loveseat, Boxwood Wall, and Custom Acrylic Panels adorn with a swamp-inspired vinyl for a unique photo backdrop. Lush florals hung from the ceiling and overflowing organic blooms were placed throughout the room. A custom lounge designed for the event was stylish, chic, and comfortable for guests! The party was complete with Nola-inspired umbrellas, carved ice sculpture for champagne, and elevated cuisine by Vestals Catering.
